Coronavirus Home Care and How We Are Supporting You
Through The Pandemic

Churchill Home Care is continuing to provide quality home care during the coronavirus pandemic. Keeping our customers and staff as safe as possible is our main focus. We are working hard to ensure that the procedures and guidelines that we have put into place follow the latest advice from the Government. Such as ensuring that all of our staff are equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE), including face masks, gloves, aprons and face shields.

Below we have put together a coronavirus FAQ, should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call us on 01484 794027 or email us at info@churchillhomecare.co.uk.

What extra precautions are we taking?

We have implemented a Coronavirus Home Care Policy which you can view here. We have also ensured that our staff have been fully briefed on it, supplied with PPE and are up to date on the latest Government guidelines.

What happens if my carer gets coronavirus?

As per the Government guidelines, we are asking our members of our staff to get tested and self-isolate should they show any symptoms. In the event that they do test positive for coronavirus, they will have to self-isolate until they are better and can return to work.

We will arrange for you to have temporary care until your carer can return to work, this is the same course of action taken if your carer were to become ill.

Will we continue to provide care for a customer with coronavirus?

If you have coronavirus or suspected coronavirus and self-isolating we will continue to provide coronavirus home care for you and try to adhere to your current care plan as much as possible. We will assess each situation on an individual basis to determine if any changes need to be made for the care plan.

Are Care Homes safer than Home Care during the coronavirus pandemic?

Limiting the risk of infection is much easier with home care as you will not have to go into an environment where you are in close proximity to many people. One of the main benefits of home care is that you will have consistency in receiving care from the same carers, therefore greatly reducing the risk of infection.
