People with social care needs such as personal care or mobility may be entitled to Social Care Funding by their local authority, it is also known as a Personal Budget, allowing direct involvement and decision making relating to the care package.
Social Care Funding is means-tested, so you may have to pay part or all of the cost of your social care. To find out about eligibility for Social Care Funding the local authority will need to be contacted, who will then conduct a financial assessment. They will then be able to confirm how much money they can assist you with for the funding of your care.
