Home Care is often associated with the elderly, although there are a large number of young adults who need assistance and support on a daily basis in order to live an independent life. Churchill Home Care provides supported living for young people from £18 per hour for Hourly Care or £725 per week for Live-In Care.
Our supported living for young people allows them to stay in the comfort of their own homes, while we provide assistance and support that is tailored to their routine and lifestyle. We can match them with a carer or personal assistant who can help provide support at home and even at work or university.
We will always help to match the perfect carer for young adults, based not just on their care needs but on their personalities, interests and hobbies. Matching the perfect carer helps young adults to continue discovering their independence and freedom, our specialist care ensures that they maintain their independence even though they might need assistance going to the local shops. Although our Hourly Carers are required to wear a uniform, we know that this can be off-putting for younger people, therefore they can attend Hourly Care Visits in their own clothes to make them feel more comfortable.
When we provide supported living for younger adults we also take into consideration the terms in which they would prefer our carers to be referred to. Many prefer to call them personal assistants or support workers rather than a carer, as they are being assisted to live independently and not cared for. Providing personal assistance, is exactly that, assistance, won’t take over their lives do everything for them. We will always respect their boundaries and offer assistance to live independently.
For many young adults, attending university can be considered as a right of passage, their first experience of venturing out into the world on their own. Our supported living for young adults ensures that they can receive the same experience as everyone else. Whether they go straight onto work or work after university we can also provide a personal assistant to help offer the support that they may need to function efficiently in their job role.
Everyone loves going on a holiday, so our support workers can also offer assistance for young people to go on holiday by helping them on the journey and assisting them whilst on holiday. Our support workers can even assist with day trips out to the seaside or a museum.
Churchill Home Care is proud to offer a gold star supported living service for young people, a service that you can trust. We can create a bespoke plan based on individual needs and requirements from Hourly Care to full Live-In Care.
